Help troubleshooting North American 3300 elevator with status 41 error

We've got a North American 3300 thats been a pain lately . The customer kept power cycling it to get it going, but it eventually failed with a frozen CANMB screen. We replaced the CANMB and CM.12.Q with software 4.07.03 and got it running in construction mode, open loop. It still throws a status 41 and wont complete a relearn. Its a duplex setup,, we matched software versions using menu 301, but the down unit still shows some boards as blank. How can we pull the software from the working unit to load onto the down one, and what else should we be checking? Feels like a comms issue or missing software. Any help would be appreciated.

Status 41 often shows up when the main board cannot talk to everything else on the CAN bus. Did you verify the termination resistors at both ends of the line are good? The parameter file from the good car needs to be transferred over with a service tool for it to work right.

Makes sense, if the main board can't communicate on the CAN bus, its no surprise to get a Status 41. I haven't checked the termination resistors yet, do you know the exact resistance i should be seeing at each end of the line?

You should be looking for a 120 Ω resistor at each end of the CAN line. With the power off, you can also measure the total bus resistance from one end, which should read about 60 Ω if both terminators are good. Have you been able to make any progress on the unit?
