Lobby floor acting Like a regular stop

Got a weird one on a six stop traction job, simple setup, lobby's on 1, controller is supposed to default to lobby when idle, give it preference on hall calls, the usual, but what I'm seeing is the car treating the lobby just like any other floor, there's no automatic return, no preference on up or down calls, and post power cycle it'll just stay wherever it landed last
This is with a smartrise controller and the lobby floor flag is set correctly (1), recall floor matches, but it's like the logic isn't actually applying unless we manually trigger a fire recall or inspection mode reset and even then, behavior is inconsistent
Already checked the config parameters and I/O mapping, nothing obvious, figured lemme throw the question, hopefully before next week Wednesday when I'd need to get back on site, I'll have some answers

SmartRise controller acting up? It might be a software bug that's making it skip the lobby. Try updating the software or checking if any settings are off. If nothing helps, you may wanna get in touch with the vendor

I feel Smartrise controllers are way overrated, there are just too many bugs and inconsistent logic for basic functions like lobby recall. If it can't handle simple defaults reliably, maybe it's time to ditch and go with a proven system
