Old LD06 Door Operator

I've been working on a modernization job and ran into an old LD06 door operator. It's still running, but its obviously real old...the hesitation on close, inconsistent torque, and a bit of play in the linkage. I haven't worked much with this model lately, and I'm debating whether it's worth overhauling or whether to just push for a full replacement.
Has anyone here rebuilt one recently? is it still easy to source parts or does it turn into a patchwork job?

I've dealt with the LD06 before, and finding parts is getting tougher. You can overhaul it, but that might just turn into a bit of a mess with varying results. If you need something reliable, going for a newer model could prevent problems later on. What's more important to you,cutting costs now or having somethin that lasts?

LD06... that's a bit of a relic, while it's doable, it's definitely not smooth sailing, you see some parts are still floating around, but it turns into a mix of digging through suppliers, salvaging old stock, and fabricating bushings or tweaks to get it behaving right.
If it's just a bit sloppy and the building's not ready to shell out for a new operator, you could tighten it up and buy some time. But for long term, I'd go for a full replacement.

That LD06 really is a blast from the past! but parts can definitely be hit or miss. You can try with some surplus suppliers, though it can start feeling like a scavenger hunt. Are you working with an operator that's had regular maintenance, or is this its first TLC in a while?
